Dear mamas…
No one makes sacrifices like we do. From pregnancy, labor and delivery and showing up tirelessly when only mom will do for our children. I want to share my gratitude for all that you are currently doing and will continue to do as a mother. I see all you do and want you to know you are more than enough. How do we always forget?

I hope that your day tomorrow is everything you wish for and more. I’m sharing these words because this last year was challenging for families. Many parents faced challenges we’d never expected to. And with Mother’s Day tomorrow, from one to another - I see all that you do and it’s incredible. I’m asking my family to be present with me and enjoy a garden picnic without our devices — so here’s to you moms! 🥂 I’m feeling blissful with some popcorn, rose butterscotch cookies and jasmine tea snuggled up with my hubby ♥️

Mother’s Day is around the corner 💖

Whenever there’s a holiday where chocolate and flowers are involved, I like to share some tricks and tips. For one, start researching ethical chocolate brands and gift them. Our family loves to make these simple @paschachocolate lollipops to indulge in chocolate without supporting palm oil production. These delicious pops are plant based and slave labor free, and also free from
nuts of any kind
gluten
egg
wheat
soy
dairy
emulsifiers
refined sugar
palm oil

So, What is palm oil and what’s the problem with it?

Palm oil is a processed tree oil ingredient that is in most of our food and cosmetics, unnecessarily. More than 50% of the products in the store contain palm oil.

Production is growing rapidly, and forests are being eradicated to meet the “need”. Replacing tropical forests and peatland with palm oil trees is devastating the environment, wildlife and people’s quality of life.

To make room for palm crops, huge areas of tropical forests and other ecosystems where conservation is important are being stripped bare. Critical habitat for orangutans and many endangered species – including rhinos, elephants, and tigers – has been destroyed. Forest-dwelling people lose their land, local communities are negatively affected.

All of this devastation for a cheap additive in our already highly processed food?

And know that you know, you’ll be surprised to find it’s about impossible to find any products in a traditional grocery store that doesn’t contain it. In addition to food, it’s also in store bought soap, shampoo, body wash and face cleansers. The only purpose is to lather products, it’s not beneficial to our skin.

I wanted to come introduce myself. I’m Sarah Elizabeth

I graduated high school from a small town and found myself studying science and landed softly managing sleep clinics helping patients manage sleep disorders. I learned all about sleep, hormones, brain waves & patterns. The human mind (and sleeping!) interests me more than anything and I can geek out talking about these topics anytime. My empathetic being always gave my best to the patients I saw and still wish them the best.

My life experience has given me a soft, non dogmatic, open perspective and the belief we are always doing our best, evolving and growing. This is why you see me sharing how we love to grow our own food and plants for medicine, and also baking up the delicious deserts many consider forbidden. Moving to beautiful Africa put me at a place in life where delicious experience, enjoyment, becoming an artist and leaning into my interests are where I’m at my best. I’m confident as life goes on this mutable water sign will naturally evolve.

We move every three years to foreign countries and it’s beautiful. Insane. The easiest and hardest thing I’ve ever done all at once.

Im a mother and wife and deeply exhausted today as mothering my little loves took all of the energy right out of me. I know some of you can relate. 😉

I’m happiest somewhere in the woods, frolicking through some flowers, with a basket, observing and enjoying life’s gifts, all that’s edible and beautiful. It’s simple, really. Hence the name, frolic and fare. 🧚‍♀️

I’ve run out of space, but I want to say thank you for being here ✨🫖
