Enjoy this simple relaxing botanical, herb and citrus milk bath epsom foot soak ritual one – two times a week!
Want to know my new favorite way to relax?
Foot soaks!
Last month, my husband and I noticed our sweet one-year-old son had an ingrown toenail. We did not even know babies got ingrown toenails, but it wasn’t entirely surprising. Our son Patrick had outgrown his shoes, and due to the local closures of stores all around us (corona stay at home orders 2020), there was no way to get him a new pair here in Tunisia. Apparently tight shoes = unhappy feet. To help relieve the redness and possible soreness, I started making him lavender and epsom foot soaks several times a day, which he LOVED! In all honesty, the foot soak relieved his symptoms on the first bath. But he really enjoyed splashing his feet in there.
go all out
Patrick enjoyed his feet soaks so much, I began to wonder why I never took the time to make one for myself! So that weekend I decided I would be sure to make one for myself. And I have made one every week since! You can get creative and all other skin-friendly essential oils, and skip the coconut milk if you desire. I just decided I wanted to go ALL OUT on my foot soak! magnesium epsom baths can ease stress and pain related to inflammation.
I enjoy my foot soak during a quiet, relaxing time where I can sit in the garden undisturbed with a book. I like to sit until the water is no longer warm (approximately half an hour) and this relaxing ritual has become such a beautiful act of self-care. My children now ask for their foot soaks to be beautiful and botanical, just like mine.
I can imagine these baths would be absolutely dreamy in your actual tub as well. I will have to try it tonight! Surrounding ourselves with natural elements like flowers, oils, herbs and more raises our vibration so why not soak in all of the good vibes and take a botanical, herb, citrus milk bath tonight?! Or better yet … DURING THE DAY! I have a daytime bath on my bucket list this summer. What’s on yours?
