Use these magical kids safe essential oil bends for little girls to create a peaceful, whimsical environment in your home.
Today I’m sharing some of my daughter’s favorite essential oil blends for rollers, perfumes, and her diffuser. Here is everything you need to know from the blend recipes, how to make a perfume, roller, and a dilution chart.
One of my daughter’s favorite things to do is to make her own essential oil blends. Admittedly, I have quite the collection of antique perfume bottles, and also gorgeous new bottles to store our blends in. I love that my daughter knows to grab for her oils when she needs support. Just this morning, she asked to bring a special roller to help her focus before her tests.
This list of blends is child friendly and they all smell beautiful. We use them regularly. Our family uses Young Living essential oils, and I prefer to share content that focuses on professional safety guidelines and recommendations. I think it’s important that we oil responsibly and understand potential risks associated with essential oils. That’s why these blends are based on child friendly essential oils from ages 6 months and up. You can learn more about our journey and choice to use these oils here.
What is the best diffuser for kids?
Without a doubt, Feather the owl! by Young Living. It’s easy to use when my daughter wants to start her diffuser by herself. It’s truly adorable. And it has so many functions. You can find feather the owl here, and you can contact me to receiving wholesale pricing.

How to make a roller with essential oils
First, you’ll want to make sure you’re using safe essential oils for your child’s age range. Download my child safety guide for essential oils here!
Then, you want to make sure you’re properly diluting the oils.
- 0.2% dilution for babies 3 months+: 1-2 drops essential oil to 1 ounce carrier oil
- While you can use a few gentle essential oils with babies I recommend hydrosols as your go-to source. They are much gentler and safer to use – providing many of the same benefits without the risks associated with essential oils. See Chapter 16 for more about hydrosols.
- 0.5% dilution for babies 6 months+: 4 drops essential oil to 1 ounce carrier oil
- 2% dilution for children 2-6 years: 18 drops essential oil to 1 ounce carrier oil
- 3% dilution for children 6+: 27 drops essential oil to 1 ounce carrier oil
How to make a diffuser blend
Making a diffuser blend is simple. For ease, we love to use a large doppler bottle and fill it so that we don’t need to keep essentials oils in each room. To diffuse, simply use the recommended oils for your child’s age range and add a few drops, distilled water, and you’re good to go!
