A tantalizing blend of warming spices and organic rose petals makes this Rose chai tea make every day feel romanticized.
There is something so intoxicating about chai tea with roses, and a splash of rose water. It’s perfected with some cream and sugar. I’m enjoying a cup now as I share this recipe. Roses replace tea leaves in this recipe, making this a splendid caffeine free beverage you can enjoy and relax with in the evening.
The inspiration.
My sweet husband spoiled me this Christmas with a new spice grinder. I love to shop for whole spices and grinding them up. It is not only satisfying, it reduces plastic waste from the pre ground spices sold in our grocer. We also have very limited pre ground spices here in Tunisia.Even cinnamon is always sold whole in sticks. I have become accustomed to making our own blends. I especially love to use what I find in the spice shop for home made teas. I even loved making my homemade pumpkin spice.
The ingredients.
- 3 tablespoons dried organic rose petals
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 4 cloves
- 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
