The cutest little cookies that are gluten, dairy, refined sugar, and cruelty free!
Growing up, I had always loved the simplicity in an animal cracker. A subtle sweetness, conclusive crunch, and a melt in your mouth experience made for an addictive treat. And don’t get me started on when they are covered in frosting and non perils. I never bought them for my children, as they don’t truly offer any nutritional value, but they are a fun indulgence I wanted to try and create at home. As always, I like to do “the mom thing” and maximize their potential, to make them both healthy and delicious.
All you need for this recipe are a few standard ingredients. And maybe most importantly, these adorable Mini Animal Cookie Cutters.

To make these cookies extra extra (can’t help myself, another mom thing) try making this super simple strawberry cashew dip, sprinkled with a couple non perils (for the nostalgia, of course). My daughter went nuts for this plant based after school snack.
