Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon dried organic lavender buds
  • 8 oz milk or dark chocolate bar
  • 2 tablespoons dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract or Lavender Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Start by making your lavender milk. In a large sauce pan, add in your milk, heavy cream, cocoa powder and dried lavender buds into your milk and whisk it together until it's smooth over medium low heat. Stir constantly.
  • Once you start to see steam rising and little bubbles forming on the sides of the pot, remove the pot from the heat. Do not let this boil as the milk will curdle and the hot chocolate will get grainy. Let it sit for several minutes and then strain the lavender from mixture into a large bowl.
  • Add the strained lavender milk back into your sauce pan and add your chopped chocolate bar and vanilla to the pot and stir constantly until the chocolate completely melts through. It will look grainy in the beginning but it will become smooth and silky.
  • Serve immediately and add your toppings. We recommend Lavender Honey Marshmallows
