Organic Edible Flowers

Instructions

Bake Brownies

  • Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  • Line a 8×8 inch square pan with parchment paper and spray with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  • Bake brownies according to manufacturer's instructions. Once brownies are baked and cooled, make chocolate ganache.

Make Ganache

  • In a small saucepan, heat the heavy whipping cream over medium heat. Watch it closely and bring it just to a simmer (tiny bubbles around the edges). Don’t let it boil.
  • Pour the hot cream over the chocolate in the bowl. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the ganache is smooth and glossy.

Assembly

  • While the ganache is warm, pour it evenly over the top of the cooled brownies. Decorate your brownies with our edible flowers! Get creative with your design– there's no wrong way to do it!
  • If desired, cut the brownies into squares before serving.

Notes

A traditional box brownie mixes call for water, eggs and vegetable oil. I always replace the water with milk and vegetable oil for melted butter. It just adds more flavor and a more rich and fudgy texture to boxed brownies. This is totally optional, but recommended.
