    Ingredients:

    • Pie dough –Make your favorite from scratch or use store bought.
    • Pears – Ripe pears that are not over ripe work best. If they're too ripe they will be mushy and if they're not ripe enough they will lack flavor.
    • Fresh ginger - for it's gorgeous spice
    • Goat cheese - You can totally leave the goat cheese out if it's not your thing, or replace it with something else like cheddar.
    • Sparkling sugar – if you like a sugared crust. Optional
    • Egg white- to brush on your crust to ensure it gets nice and golden brown
    • Salted butter - to brush your pears before baking

    4. Arrange the pears into the center of the dough however you'd like
    5. Fold the edges of the pie dough over the filling
    6. Next, melt your butter and grate your ginger, adding your ginger to the melted butter and stirring until well incorporated
