Where to find rose water:

You can make your own rose water at home in a simple distillation method. You can choose fresh organic, directly from your garden, or organic dried rose buds. Having your own edible flower garden is the best place to get your edible flowers, but you can also forage wild plants safety and sustainably. I have an entire post on where to find edible flowers. However, you can easily source food grade rose water in most grocery stores and online.

Alternatively, you can simply buy rose water. You can easily find rose water online. You can also look for it in pharmacies and halal or Middle Eastern markets. Be sure that it's 100 percent pure and food grade, not for skin care with added ingredients, and not artificially flavored.

Rose water lemonade

Not only is it delicious, making your own from scratch is super simple, elegant and perfect for entertaining, or enjoying a soothing treat after tending to your garden. Make it fresh after making your own rose water at home.

Ingredients

  • 7 cups water
  • 1 cup of rose water
  • ½ cup sugar or honey more to taste
  • about 8 large lemons squeezed
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Squeeze all of your lemons into a pitcher or large jar. Strain out any pulp or seeds.
  • Add in your sweetener of choice
  • Boil two cups of water. You need hot water to dissolve the sugar for perfect lemonade, so don't skip this step!
  • Add your boiling water into your sugar and lemon juice mixture, and then your remaining water.
  • Once it cools slightly, add your one cup of rose water and the remaining cups of water to your pitcher, stir
  • Serve over ice or floral ice cubes and enjoy!

Notes

Store covered in the refridgerator for up to one week.
