I don’t know if I have ever been so excited for the calender to read “November 1”. As a parent, I feel a sense of relief when a holiday comes and goes. There is so much work in making these moments “extra extra”, and we fill our days and calenders with parties, events, and play dates. At the end of a long halloween festivity filled week, I am exhausted, and ready to refuel with anything but more candy. My body is craving greens in my greens, in my greens!

Today while making this beautiful antioxidant rich superfood kale salad, I decided to use some of the ingredients in a green goddess dressing. I also decided to add my Greens Superfood powder. I chose to add this blend, as it is free from: dairy, gluten, peanut and soy, keeping my salad as nourishing as possible. It is a nice boost of Vitamin C, D3 and B12. Also provides Vitamin A, calcium, iron and potassium.

I always make all of my dressings homemade so that they’re fresh, free from chemicals and preservatives, lack poor quality vegetable oils and artificial flavors and refined sugar. There are so many benefits of making your own dressing, but making this one takes “the cake” as far as added health benefits are concerned. The end result: an overwhelmingly delicious, creamy yet light + tangy dressing that is too good. This is exactly what you need to make when you need your greens in your greens in your greens! And are done making your kid’s Halloween extra extra, and want to make your salad extra instead!
